A Pleasant Trail in the Light Forest
The trail you are on leads east and west here, or you can enter a clearing in
the middle of the forest to the south. Overhead you can hear the flapping of
wings and the scratching noises of many small feet trying to gain purchase on
the bark of the trees, as animals of the forest hurry about, packing as much
happiness and industry into their short life spans as they can possibly manage.
Exits: East South West.

At a Small Ruin
Right in the middle of the forest there is a small ruin. It is hard to tell
what it was before, but it was something made of stone. It was probably a small
house with four rooms from what remains of the walls. There is a stair going
down to something that could have been a cellar. Near the ruin, the trees are
old or dead. They are pale and grey, and have no leaves on them.
A mass of dark green leaves clings to a wall.
A colony of red ants is here. The ants seem to ignore you.
Exits: East South West Down.

Slimy Cave
A small, black cave lies beneath the ruins, the stairs from above bending so
sharply that this place never sees the light of day. The air is humid, and
big drops of water can be seen on the walls. To the east, the wall has at
some time collapsed, but it is difficult to tell what lies beyond. However,
the air seems stale and has a distinctly musty odour.
The corpse of a giant slug is lying here.
A patch of moss grows here on a wet, flat stone.
*a Man*, wielding a nasty orkish fang, is standing here.
Exits: East Up.
